Meet Linda, the founder of TeachableMind.org, a literacy specialist and academic coach with over 30 years of experience helping K-12+ learners create educational success stories to grow and thrive beyond school. Linda firmly believes that every mind is teachable, and she is goal-driven to help you teach your child to read well.
Linda’s educational background includes a Bachelor of General Studies in Psycholinguistics from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is also a certified International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) member.
For Linda, reading critically, comprehending, speaking, and writing fluently are the basis of our culture and understanding. Words are magic to her, and she firmly believes that you can achieve anything if you can do it well.
Aside from her passion for teaching, Linda is also a mother of four heart-filled wonders who add light to the world, along with hundreds of competent students who have benefited from her expertise. Before founding TeachableMind.org, she worked with Crowns of Care, a nonprofit organization that provides hospitals with unique crowns for imaginative relief to children with life-altering illnesses.
